It's been a long time since inlets write about an escape room. I fell in love with the concept during that first go around in The Amazing Escape Room in Montclair, NJ and have been itching to do another escape room again. Honestly, they all could be seen as high priced for the consumer. I find them to be worth the expense. 5 Wits is kind of a game changer in some ways. The rooms are set up very different while most clues are not really brain teasers as much as a test of observation.

At the Amazing Escape Room, we had rooms loaded with clues on top of clues. You would need to solve riddles and clues to discover other riddles and clues in order to progress (sorry for the tongue and cheek, it's just the beat way to describe it). It really made you think. 5 Wits on the other hand uses more technology to give fancier gimmicks such as the future in outer space to fight an evil artificial intelligence, a medieval adventure to find Drago the dragon and a journey into an Egyptian tomb to aid a lost pharaoh. Although easier than the Amazing Escape Room, 5 Wits was really cool and fun to do.

There are three different price points for you to choose from:

SINGLE ADVENTURE $22.99

2-ADVENTURE COMBO $29.99 This is where you get to pick any two rooms.

3-ADVENTURE COMBO $34.99 This is where you get to pick any three rooms.

As you can see the third choice is the most reasonable priced combo and very worth it. All three rooms are fun. However, if the staff tells you which room is the hardest, don't listen. They were wrong about the difficulty levels for each room when we asked. I won't tell you which room it was as that will take away from the fun, but the room that they said was the hardest was the same room in where my friend and I not only scored the best but also finished the quickest.

I give 5 Wits a 3.5 out of 5 stars. The attractions and "adventures" were a lot of fun with really cool story lines behind them. But then there was some elements that were kind of corny. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't do it again. I would personally like to go back and beat my last scores. 5 Wits would be great to go to with your friends or even a team building exercise for work.
