Here we are on the final installment of the Royal Caribbean Series featuring the Bone Fish Bar and Grill located in the Royal Naval Dockyard in Bermuda. This was one of the places I was fortunate to visit during both of my visits to Bermuda and I was more than happy to do so.
The photo above was the view from our table. Being able to view our ship like this was stunning. This put our trip into perspective for us. This was our last moments on the shores of Bermuda with a gorgeous day. We were sad that we did not get to spend more time on the Island.
THE DRINKS
I can't talk about Bone Fish without mentioning their drinks. Bone Fish has some of the most talented bartenders on the island. The drinks are delicious and refreshing when the heat is overwhelming. Don't worry, you get what you pay for when it comes to the alcohol as they are generous with the pour. That can sometimes kill a drink's flavor, but their recipes are on the money.
THE FOOD
(PHOTOS ARRANGED CLOCKWISE: SHRIMPS AND MANGO EMPANADAS TOP LEFT AND CENTER, COCONUT SHRIMP TOP RIGHT, CAPELLINI SAPORE DI MARE BOTTOM RIGHT, AND THE ENTIRE SPREAD AT THE LAST TWO)
Let's start with the Shrimps and Mango Empanadas. Wow is the word the describe the flavors that this dish produced. Not only were the empanadas themselves tasty, but the dipping sauce was sweet, hot and reminiscent of the tropics all in one bite. My wife had the coconut shrimps which were perfectly cooked and fried. The shrimp had nice coconut flavor and the dipping sauce was also delicious. The Capellini Sapore Di Mare was something on another level though. The combination of the tuna and shrimp accompanied by the tomatoes, artichoke hearts and kalamata olives was heavenly. I finished the dish in record time and it was satisfyingly filling. Bone Fish, you blew us out of the water with the food. Thank you for pleasing our palates.
THE SERVICE
Service at Bone Fish was exceptional. They did a fantastic job from the moment we were seated to when we left. Drinks were served quickly. The food came out at a great pace and we were happy. My daughter's food was timed right as well. They really took care of us here and improved in my opinion since my first visit four years prior and service was excellent then too.
LASTING IMPRESSIONS
Visiting Bone Fish was the last thing that we decided to do before leaving Bermuda. We wanted to leave the island on a high note. Thank you Bone Fish for full filling our wishes. Not only did we receive exceptional service, but the food was out of this world. I give Bone Fish Bar and Grill 4.5 out of 5 stars. The group who owns Bone Fish prides themselves on being the best food service company on the island and they have more than achieved their goal. I will always visit Bone Fish whenever I visit Bermuda in the future and I cannot wait to return.
