"It Follows" makes joins the list on the Halloween Movies Series. This is a film that I had interest in seeing since it's release but just never got around to it. It would seem interesting but I would quickly forget about it. It never stuck out to me in my mind. It took my wife to watch it one night when she couldn't sleep to finally get me to sit down and watch it. To say I enjoyed it would be an understatement.

The film begins with a girl being chased something off camera. She is terrified and desperate. On lookers attempt to get her attention or talk to her, but her fear clouds her senses as she keeps running for her life. We follow her until we find her lifeless body. What chased her? Who killed her? None of these questions are answered. Then we meet a new couple and one of the film's main characters.

We learn that whatever it is that chases these people is something that gets passed on from person to person through sex. The only way to protect yourself is to have sex with someone one and making the person the new and current target. If you become the target and it kills you, it will begin to follow the previous person who it had it's sights on. This continues over and over and the cycle never ends.

I felt this film showed the terror of always having to be on the run very well. The film showed that when you may feel you are safe and figured you put enough space between you and it, it just is not enough and it always catches up to you.

Even though this was not presented as a Halloween Movie, "It Follows" makes a great addition to any Halloween movie list. This is a great film to watch with friends or your significant other or even by yourself in the dark. Just remember, when It Follows you, it will get you and no one can help you. Enjoy!
