***WARNING: SPOILERS MAY HAPPEN, IF SO SORRY***

Welcome to part 6 of the Halloween Movie Series. It's not Halloween unless you watch a Chucky flick. The Child's Play films used to scare the living hell out of me as a child and I just wanted to share them. This collection consists of seven films. Some of them are great, some are pretty bad and others may be more than decent. I am going to list each below with some information about each film and my rating. Hope this helps with your movie lists.

Brad Dourif as Charles Lee Ray/Chucky (Voice)

The first film that started it all saw single mother, Karen Barclay, buys a much sought after doll for her son Andy's birthday. They soon discover that the doll is possessed by the spirit of a serial killer and they are in a struggle for their lives.

FEAST & FANDOM RATING: 4 out of 5 stars. MUST WATCH!!!

STARRING:

Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay

Jenny Agutter as Joanne Simpson

Gerrit Graham as Phil Simpson

Christine Elise as Kyle

Brad Dourif as Chucky (Voice)

Chucky stalks Andy as Andy is put into foster care while his mother is in a psychiatric facility.

FEAST & FANDOM RATING: 3 out of 5 stars. Not as good as the original but important for the overall story of the franchise.

CHILD'S PLAY 3

WRITERS: Don Mancini

STARRING:

Justin Whalin as Andy Barclay

Perrey Reeves as De Silva

Jeremy Sylvers as Tyler

Brad Dourif as Chucky (Voice)

Chucky follows Andy as Andy begins his teenage life in military school. Chucky still attempts to put his own soul into Andy's body.

FEAST & FANDOM RATING: 3 out of 5 stars. Andy's training is the military school ends up being helpful in later movies.

BRIDE OF CHUCKY

RELEASED: October 16, 1998

RUNNING TIME: 1 Hour 29 Minutes

RATED: R

DIRECTED: Ronny Yu

WRITERS: Don Mancini

STARRING:

Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany

Brad Dourif as Chucky (Voice)

Katherine Heigl as Jade

John Ritter as Chief Warren Kincaid

Finally abandoning the idea of killing Andy, Chucky turns his attention to ex-girlfriend Tiffany who he decided to put her soul into a doll body in order to have a mate.

FEAST & FANDOM REVIEW: 2 out of 5 stars. I get why they decided to change the direction of the franchise, but I felt that this comedy/horror film was a disappointment. The only thing that worked was adding Jennifer Tilly to the franchise to give Chucky someone to play off of with Tiffany.

SEED OF CHUCKY

RELEASED: November 12, 2004

RUNNING TIME: 1 Hour 27 Minutes

RATED: R

DIRECTED: Don Mancini

WRITERS: Don Mancini

STARRING:

Brad Dourif as Chucky (Voice)

Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany/Jennifer Tilly

Billy Boyd as Glen/Glenda

The story continues as Chucky and Tiffany seek to have a child in this installment of the franchise. Tiffany also becomes human again as she takes over the body of Jennifer Tilly, who surprisingly looks like a twin to Tiffany's original human body.

FEAST & FANDOM REVIEW: 1.5 out of 5 stars. This film has received my worst review score in Feast & Fandom history. It's a pretty bad movie, but small elements of the film are needed for the full story arc of the franchise.

CURSE OF CHUCKY

RELEASED: September 24, 2013

RUNNING TIME: 1 Hour 37 Minutes

RATED: R

DIRECTED: Don Mancini

WRITERS: Don Mancini

STARRING:

Chantal Quesnelle as Sarah

Fiona Dourif as Nica

Brad Dourif as Charles Lee Ray/Chucky (Voice)

Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany

Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay

After mysteriously recieving an old "Good Guy Doll," Nica's family begins to die one by one. Looks like Chucky is at it again.

FEAST & FANDOM REVIEW: 4 out of 5 stars. This film brings the franchise back to it's core horrifying glory. Not only do we get to have a huge plot point explained from the first film centering around Nica's mother, but we get the return of Andy Barclay played once again by the original actor Alex Vincent.

CULT OF CHUCKY

RELEASED: October 3, 2017

RUNNING TIME: 1 Hour 31 Minutes

RATED: R

DIRECTED: Don Mancini

WRITERS: Don Mancini

STARRING:

Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay

Brad Dourif as Chucky (Voice)

Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce

Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany

Turns out Chucky figured out how to put his soul into multiple dolls and there is more than one Chucky. Chucky looks to take out both Nica and Andy in his ultimate plan for revenge.

FEAST & FANDOM REVIEW: 4 out of 5 stars. Man is this installment of the franchise good. Here's a spoiler. Ready? Don't read the next few sentences if you don't want to know. Chucky ends up taking over Nica's body. Why did I find it necessary to mention this? Nica is played by Fiona Dourif, daughter of Brad Dourif. She took over the roll of Chucky for her father. How freaking cool is that?

I hope you enjoyed this installment into the Halloween Movie Series. I hope this helped with any horror movie selections for this Halloween season. Enjoy!
