Today the family and I had our lunch at Lolita's Mexican Cantina. My wife and I had always wanted to try Lolita's since it was announced to open back in October of last year. Today we decided to have our first visit after a day of pumpkin picking and hay rides with the kids.

THE DECOR:

When walking into Lolita's Mexican Cantina, we were blown away with the decor and beauty of the restaurant. As you can tell from some of my pictures, I was sneaky when hiding my camera so that no one saw me taking pictures. I felt that I needed to show just how beautiful of a restaurant that Lolita's is.

THE FOOD:

We just made it in time for Brunch. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. At first I was thrown off with the garnish but it did not hinder the flavor by any means. The house made syrup and the chicken went very well with the waffles. There was a slight hint of spice that was very enjoyable and I would definitely order this dish again.

SERVICE:

The staff was very nice at Lolita's. There was only one odd moment when the server was taking our drink order and I suggest that he start with my wife. He did, he asked her first. But as he went around the table to take orders, he stopped when he came to me. He never asked me. He just walked away. I ended up sarcastically telling my wife that I did not want to order a beverage which meant that I really did want to. Once he came back with the other drinks, I gave him my order and I received it quickly. But no apology for not asking me the first time around. Also at the end of the meal. My daughter was entitled to a free ice cream as a part of her kid's meal. We were offered to look at a dessert menu, but the server never waited for my daughter's dessert order. We had to ask for it to go as we paid the bill. These are just two steps of service that lacked and I feel that it can be approved on greatly and easily.

LASTING IMPRESSIONS:

Lilita's Mexican Cantina is a gorgeous restaurant that I plan to visit again. I intend to try a wide array of their food and I look forward to it. The issue with the server really was not a deal breaker and did ruin our visit in the slightest. I just felt that he was new and that it was from a lack of experience. I give Lolita's a 3.5 out of 5 stars which is a respectable ranking. I also recommend Lolita's to anyone who is looking for a tasty meal. Enjoy!
