When searching for great Italian food, I have found it tough to find. I love a warm and homey style dining room with friendly and inviting service that makes you crave more than just the food. If you have the same taste as me, then look no further than Il Bacetto in Seafood, NY.

My wife and I had reservations at 8:30 on the evening that we dined with Il Bacetto. It was a great dinner with my brother in law and his wife. It had been a while since we had been out together for a nice relaxing dinner and all we wanted was just that. Il Bacetto is the type of Italian restaurant that gets an early pop and then calms down after 8pm. When my wife and I walked in, there were maybe two tables left at the time and we were seated in what I like to call the "boss" table. The "boss" table is usually a quite table off to the back corner where you can see everything in the restaurant. It was cozy and comfortable and the staff made us feel at home.

THE SERVICE

Our very hospitable server came over and greeted us as we waited on my brother in law and his wife to get there a few minutes later. She was very informative about the menu and when she realized that my sister in law was vegan, she made sure that my sister in law was comfortable to order anything special that she needed. They were very flexible with the menu and accommodating. Then we found out that she was the owner of the restaurant and enlightened us with fantastic conversation.

Like many of my other reviews, I usually only talk about my food with a few exceptions here and there. During our visit to Il Bacetto I enjoyed the Chef Specialty Shrimp Bacetto. The dish featured egg battered and pan seared shrimp, lemon, garlic, white wine, and red pepper flakes over perfectly al dente linguine that was topped with grilled asparagus. Everything about this dish was perfect and on the money. The ingredients fused into an amazing plethora of flavors that overloaded my taste buds in the most incredible way that it has left me craving a second going sooner than expected. I highly recommend the Shrimp Bacetto.

LASTING IMPRESSIONS

Il Bacetto was my brother and sister in law's idea as they suggested it. What a great suggestion it was. I give Il Bacetto a solid score of 4 out of 5 stars. If you are in the Seaford area of Long Island, make sure to stop by Il Bacetto and give them a shot. You won't regret it. Enjoy!
